Though he doesn't know whether he'll run for House of Delegates or the Maryland Senate, Stan Janor says he's definately going to be on the ballot. No doubt, Stan Janor is one of the hardest working and focused politicos living in this area. Over the last several years, Stan has devoted countless hours and resources trying to get others elected to office. Now, he intends to try himself.
Over the last two election cycles, Stan has campaigned especially hard for more moderate candidates such as Tom Fleckenstein, Walt Shandrowsky and Congressman Frank Kratovil. Going forward, committing to that ideology himself will be pivotal to a successful run in District 31.
Stan has cited the recent national Democratic tilt as part of his reasoning for seeking office. Make no mistake, while President Obama has relatively impressive numbers nationally, it's doubtful he could muster 30% of the vote in District 31. In other words, the cards are stacked against Democrats in this district. Therefore, any prospective candidate needs to demonstrate their independence from party leadership.
Like I said, Stan seems to understand the rules of this game. I expect him to emerge as a formidable opponent for at least one of the incumbents.

District 31 -- What a mess -- The biggest mess being Don Dwyer -- YET people vote for him. Look at his voting record (OH SORRY, he has none). Every time a bio is published, his occupation changes. The biggest surprise was his occupation as a teacher of constitutional law. The man never graduated from college, so how can he be a teacher?? Wake up District 31. Don Dwyer is an idiot. PS, he doesn't answer questions posed to him in emails, that is if he answers it.
Is that good news I hear in District 31?? Is Craig Reynolds going to run again? Let's hope he does. In the last election HE was THE ONLY candidate with morals and ethics. He refused to litter our highways and byways with political signs, placing them only on private property with the permussion of the property owner. He refused to take donations from businesses or political action committees. Apparently in District 31 honesty is not a virtue that the residents seek in a candidate.
I checked with Craig Reynolds ex and treasurer and Karen said he didn't believe he was running again, but if he does she looks forward to working closely with him again. Jennifer
